Fashion blogger Trishala Sikka tied the knot in a rather surprising set of traditional bling. The influencer has a staggering Instagram presence and more than 68,000 followers. Trishala is one of the most relevant millennial trendsetters, and needless to say, we expected her wedding jewellery to be as trailblazing and modern as the bride. But Trishala kept things rather safe, for the main wedding ceremony at least, and chose a beautiful old fashioned kundan set from Anmol Jewellers to go with her wedding ensemble.

Pre- Wedding & Mehendi

Trishala’s pre-wedding look was rather fresh and trendy. She wore an exquisite exotic gold and pearl paneled neckpiece by Shweta & Nitesh Gupta for one of her pre-wedding soirees, and a show-stopping set of very long gold chandelier statement earrings Mrinalini Chandra for her mehendi, but for her d-day, Trishala kept her look quite traditional. The blogger wore a very rich and elaborately assembled kundan necklace, in a wide silhouette which took up her whole neck, and featured well-cut polki diamonds and some precious stone embellishments. Trishala also wore polki danglers, and  a Rajasthani-style maangtika.

Wedding

The deep red drop accents in her necklace and her earrings were clearly meant to complement her bright red wedding lehenga. Trishala chose well in sticking to one tone for her jewellery, and ditching major metallic work, especially since her ensemble is very heavily embellished. Also note how Trishala goes for just one piece of distinct neck piece, instead of cluttering up her look by adding in an accent piece or a choker, which seems to be the trend. If you’re sure about what you want to wear, and do not want to follow the popular wedding trends, you should do exactly that, especially with the major statement pieces.

Reception

For her wedding reception, Trishala chose to wear a seriously blingy, pure diamond necklace along with an ornamental belt, to go with her light blush pink Tarun Tahiliani lehenga. And while Trishala always ends up looking like a million bucks, we do wish the influencer would have used a little imagination on the colour scheme, as diamonds rarely go with pasty, neutral colours
