Bright and blissful, the scintillating diamonds on this bride were almost at par with her happiness. The Jewellery Diaries real bride Arjuban Bhatia gives us a peek into the beautiful and versatile choices, and inspires brides-to-be on what they should keep in mind while selecting bridal jewellery.
Arjuban Bhatia met Saurabh Keshwani through common friends, but what sparked the magic was his surety when he told her at 22 that she was the one! From there it was rollercoaster fun for the two, culminating into the perfect marriage and more than perfect jewels.
A love for diamonds and polki, the fashion student had been planning her wedding looks and bridal jewellery with a keen eye for a long time. Pretty choices and chic designs brought out the allure of her designer ensemble.
Striking sequins and gray clubbed with glittering diamonds and earrings from Hazoorilal Jewellers completed the pretty bride-to-be’s roka look.
Introduced to the family jeweller through her in-laws, she selected a gorgeous marquise diamond cluster necklace to go hand-in-hand with her Manish Malhotra lehenga. What a highlight to the start!
Pooja and Chowki
The pooja/chowki function saw the beautiful bride go traditional in a lehenga teamed with gold jewellery.
Gracing the auspicious occasion with something that belonged to her mother, Arjuban tells us how she loved this particular antique gold necklace set and cuffs. She selected a magenta Anita Dongre lehenga to match with it.
The jewels definitely were striking with coloured gemstones of different hues strewn in with curved motifs.
Diamond drop hoops and a layered necklace by Hazoorilal Jewellers gifted by her mom-in-law added instant delight to her Shantanu and Nikhil ruffle gown at the engagement party. Going modular with her jewellery, this fashionista reveals how the centre string of sapphires can be interchanged with an emerald string that came with the set.
She plans on modifying them further to use them as bracelets too for casual use. Isn’t that a brilliant piece of advice for new brides to watch out for while planning their wedding jewellery?
The mesh design heavy on diamonds, bordered with contrasting flowers from MC Jewellers, Karol Bagh was a stunning choice to team with her Anushree Reddy outfit. A separate necklace studded with rubies and yellow diamonds by Hazoorilal Jewellers was put around her neck by her mom-in-law during the function.
The quintessential, big fat wedding look was enhanced with polki and jadau jewellery, which she had saved for the big day. Donning a Sabyasachi lehenga and heritage jewellery with uncut diamonds and emeralds, the bride coordinated two similar sets, a choker along with a rani haar, for an exemplary bridal air.
The separate sets instead of a single heavy layered one from Om Kochhar Jewellers, Karol Bagh and Ram Avatar Jewellers, Jaipur were a better choice for the bride as she could then wear them separately with different outfits in the future.
Inspiring designs and the versatile reason behind each definitely makes this bride’s story an appealing one. We love how Arjuban chose not to stash away her bridal bling in the locker by opting for trendy and eye-catching jewellery which can be used occasionally through the coming years.
