Come rituals and festivals, and all our urban tastes take a backseat. We like to look only royal and resplendent in our traditional jewellery. Thus, each year we witness special ‘puja’ and festive collections like at the recently held ‘Glitterati- The Runway Bride’ fashion showcase in Amritsar. Famed jeweller Maliram had celebrities exhibiting a jewelled repertoire of temple jewellery, titled Ibadatt. The pieces not only demonstrated India’s rich craftsmanship but also convinced onlookers to equate the collection to heirlooms, to be passed on through generations. Adjectives like majestic, magnificent and intricate, seemed less to describe the wide range of traditional neckpieces, mathapattis, finger rings, haathphools, kamarbands, naaths, bangles, kadas and hair accessories. There were variegated shapes, styles and sizes recited through mesmerising motifs including deities. The pieces were encrusted with a brilliant array of precious gems that brought in colour to sheer gold. In one word, it was breath-taking. You got to see to believe…

Gold balls strung together and highlighted with figurine motifs on the sides stole the show as the exclusivity of the jewels boasted precious pride. The look was balanced beautifully with round stud earrings for comfort during the Puja ceremony.

Detailed with arches and motif work, the haram-inspired necklace completes the temple jewellery collection with adore. Complete with gold jhumki danglers, the Ibadatt collection was galore with exquisite pieces to satiate every taste.

A complete stunner, this chunky temple carved pendant which dangled brilliantly off strings is styled to lend a dramatic effect to your Puja outfit. The alternating strings of gold balls and emeralds, with detailed centres, makes this a unique way to start your wedding celebrations.

Each piece so unique and attention worthy!

This colour-coordinated temple jewel boasted a chic style with the diamond and emerald floral row layered with a complete contrasting one featuring temple inspired motifs and carved detail. The stud earrings again made the piece a comfortable pick for the Puja.

Now, a much-deserved necklace set, this was a total stunner as it swanked royally as a choker and extended into an elaborate chunky piece with pearl strings. Puja-perfect, the ruby studded piece featured carved figurines around the circular motif, true temple style.

For the ethereal traditional bride, this uniquely designed necklace with its soft tone and stark gold detailing made for a classic choice. With a matching nath, the set was bold yet subtle for a wedding function. Style it with a flowing attire and look like a goddess divine!

With each piece so unique and so perfect, we are sure you are spoilt for choice. And, this is only for the Puja ceremony!
