ICW 2019: Regal meets ritzy, the jewels at Shyamal and Bhumika’s show were an epitome of grace!


Renowned designer duo Shyamal and Bhumika launched their ‘The Renaissance Muse’ Collection at the FDCI India Couture Week on July 25, 2019, In New Delhi. The collection was complimented by Jewels of Jaipur by Ankit Lodha, featuring precious stones like emerald, sapphires and rubies with Polki jewellery made in 18-carat yellow gold.





Since the Shyamal and Bhumika Couture 2019 collection is a celebration of ‘India to the World’, maintaining a connect between their global muse of today and India’s age-old craft techniques, Jewels of Jaipur found its inspiration in Noor Jahan, an epitome of beauty and grace. A visionary ruler of the patron of art and an exceptional jewelry designer – she was a woman ahead of her time. The queen’s life story inspired Jewels of Jaipur to create an intricately designed bridal jewelry collection, Annora which will be showcased on the runway with Shyamal & Bhumika’s Couture Collection. The interesting use of color and cuts in jewellery had a blend of Indian tones along with unusual vintage tones, be it necklaces, earrings or bracelets.

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon turned showstopper for the FDCI show of the designer duo and she adorned heritage bridal jewellery featuring meenakari, set in emeralds, pearls, and gold. The design of her necklace truly captured the essence of Indian romanticism, like no other.

Nonetheless, Jewels of Jaipur confidently imbibed the deep-rooted pride in India’s heritage and culture, signifying a wonderful connection between conventional and present-day India with their latest jewellery collection.
