The adage, ‘look like a million bucks’ became a reality both literally and figuratively at the
26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. In a nutshell, while ensembles of all types populated the red carpet, it was also a night of lavish showstopping jewellery for some. Though it was classic platinum diamond jewellery that ruled the show, yet reviving and experimenting styles did make headlines! We give you a direct lowdown on some of the stars who we instantly noticed.
Strut Thy Studs
Now studs are forever new, especially if they are an astonishing $25 million diamond pendant centre piece diamond from Harry Kotlar! You also go matching with diamond studs from the designer.Twice as stylish we say!
J-Lo & Behold!
Jennifer Lopez beat everyone hands down wearing over $9 million worth of Harry Winston jewellery including a cascading necklace, drop diamond earrings, two diamond bracelets, and two diamond rings. While this may sound like an overload, one look at the picture will tell how it was not. The styling and teaming were so brilliant that every piece stood out without overpowering the other or looking OTT. JLo you did great!
Now did Catherine Zeta-Jones take a piece of fabric from her dazzling gown and turn it into a pair of long sleek diamond earrings.Only a perfectionistic like her gets such a perfect match! This pair of diamond dangling earring from Lorraine Schwartz madeher styling look impeccable.
Shine Bright Always!
Jennifer Aniston went minimal this time both with her ensemble and choice of jewellery. And yet she emerged a stunner in her pair Fred Leighton Edwardian platinum and diamond pendant earrings. Those diamond pieces are pure temptation.
It was AzzaFahmy for Christine Applegate who turned a few heads with her mismatched pair of earrings. Her 18-carat gold celestial earrings, one moon shaped and one like a starboasted precious stone combinations of diamonds and pearls. It was an ambitious move rendered with flair.
Anybody who does a David Webb is a walking example of scintillating glam. Renee Zellweger’s two Paris Nouvelle Vague bracelet set in 18-carat rose gold with hematites, amethysts, smoky quartz, pink opals and diamonds was anstatement bracelet indeed. Period!
All Styles & All Smiles
She rocked her red carpet look with analluring mix of cuff and drop diamond earrings, a single strand diamond necklace wrapped beautifully, a diamond tennis bracelet and vibrant diamond cocktail rings. Some oomph she scattered along!
Purple Rain Aha!
This Moulin Rouge star picked quite a few sparklers from Lydia Courteille.A striking mix of white diamonds, blue and purple opals and white pearl drops set in a vintage chandelier earrings was the showstopper. Yet her Le Vian black, chocolate and aquamarine bracelets and stacked up MindiMond, Swati Dhanak and Karma El Khalil rings augmented her charisma.
In Cahoots With Cartier
With a gold outfit, Natalia Dyer paired an attractive pair of earrings boasting high jewellery emerald-cut diamonds, paved with brilliant-cut diamonds encrusted in platinum. Her delicate necklaces with diamonds set in platinum reinstated Cartier’s style ofgrandeur.
Simply The Stunner
Admiration comes asa prerequisite when you go for a name like Harry Winston. That is even if you go solo just with mid-sized earrings setin diamonds andplatinum. How? Just like Lili Reinhart, who sizzled sophisticatedly.
Scarlett Johansson seemed to have taken a cue from her name by wearing a striking red-accented diamond drop Taffin earrings that she teamed with her teal outfit and scarlet lip colour. While her earrings stood out like shiny disco balls swaying in sweet surrender, we weren’t too impressed with one of her bracelets that seemed a bit out of sync with her style!
Since Jennifer Garner knew that the spotlight would anyways be on her as the presenter, she decided to go minimally classic in cluster earrings, a vintage diamond bracelet and a diamond ring, all by Harry Winston. Skipping the neckpiece to highlight her noodle strap dress seemed like a strategy that worked brilliantly in her favour!
Rachel Brosnahan wore a blue gown that boasted off-shoulder studded strands that dazzled around her arms. Small wonder why she shunned other jewellery accessories barring her Forevermark diamond strand dangle earrings and a few chic diamond rings. She indeed looked as marvellous just like her onscreen guise as ‘Marvelous Mrs Maisel’!
Irresistibly In Sync
She was clearly in a play match-up mode from head to toe, makeup included. All her style accents and accessories perfectly blended in with her black and white ensemble that she enhanced with a matching bracelet and chandelier earrings. Her Forevermark diamond rings looked gorgeously stunning with her black sparkle nail paint. She totally nailed the matching diktat.
She Scintillates with Elan
We so adore the damsels on the Hollywood red carpet as they know where exactly to stop the sparkle fest. Since the extra host for the show was already donning a shimmery silver gown, she decided to show no other trace of chunky jewellery. The slender beauty only took to a pair of drop earrings and a dainty collection of diamond cocktail rings. Pure chic she emerged!
Hair & How With A Brooch
When you have a black Louis Vuitton off-shoulder gown that’s classic to the T and a baby bump to flaunt, regular styling really doesn’t cut it for you. So, you ought to be smart like this SAG Award winner who wore her Forevermark diamond feather brooch on her hair. Now you know why she has been all-overs Instagram since the awards?
Saving ‘Grace’ Almost!
Apparently, the Bombshell actor did not have the time to touch up her roots before her red carpet appearance and voila she straight away parted her hair with a Tiffany & Co. Victoria line diamond bracelet. While the black roots did show, but her bold innovation did catch everyone’s attention!
Ask us and we surely did not go drooling over that but her Tiffany & Co. platinum earrings, bracelets on her wrists and rings were ultra-chic!
Now that was some variety diamond jewellery on show! Ouch!
