After the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Huma Qureshi and Diana Penty, the Bollywood queens of Cannes – Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – have descended on the French Riviera. And we must say, they’re here to slay and how!
While Sonam and Aishwarya have time and again impressed us with their fashion picks at Cannes and no wonder they’re regulars there, this time at Cannes 2019, both of them are leaving us wanting for more with their choice of jewels too. From opting for classy chandelier diamond earrings to picking simplistic and dainty drop earrings, the B-town ladies are keeping it elegant, just like their impeccable style statements.
So, we bring you all the jewellery deets of Aishwarya and Sonam at the Cannes Film Festival so far:
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Not to forget, Aishwarya was the first celebrity who took Bollywood to the Cannes red and just like every year, she dazzled once again at the gala. For her first red carpet appearance at the Cannes 2019, Aishwarya went experimental with her choice of jewellery. While she decided to give earrings and necklace a miss, the actress made a statement by wearing Masy, the chameleon ring from Boucheron, Paris set in paraiba tourmalines, purple, pink, orange, yellow and blue sapphires, and tsavorites, in yellow gold. The gradation of rainbow colours works magnificently with her metallic outfit.
Aishwarya again stepped out on the Cannes red carpet looking angelic in a white Ashi Studio gown which she adorned with a stunning pair of black and white diamond earrings and matching ring from the Caché Collection of Avakian. For an extravagant outfit like hers, her jewels were a perfect match and we love how her earrings accentuated her face.
Sonam is a bonafide fashionista who’s been taking the world by a storm. The actress, who chooses to wear a lot of international jewellery brands like Chopard, Tiffany, Piaget and others, opted for heart-shaped drop diamond earrings from Chopard again. Her sister and stylist Rhea Kapoor made the perfect choice of pairing dainty earrings with her elaborate Elie Saab gown, which was a statement in itself.
Which look did you like better?
