Finding your true love is blissful! Off as a pizza date to long-distance, and then culminating into a happy union, this bride’s story is one every girl dreams of.
Filled with dreams and happiness in her eyes, Akriti Chadda from Ludhiana married Ahmedabad-based boyfriend Aashir Gajjar in true Bollywood style. Each look, planned to perfect with her parents help, the glowing bride takes us through her jewellery journey which is a scintillating one.
Bridal Shower Bollywood Style
Starting off with the bang of Bollywood, this pretty bride-to-be knew just what she wanted. She recalls how she wanted to keep her jewellery to a minimal, it being the first of functions involving dancing away the night with friends and cousins. “I definitely wanted to keep some of my jewellery extremely delicate and beautiful, something that I could carry with me to Seattle after the wedding”, the young bride tells us.
She threw on a comfortable pair of sparkling polki encrusted chandeliers to complement her Anita Dongre crop top and long skirt. Accessorising with a beautiful wreath, the choice was trendy and impressive.
Mast Mehendi Punjabi Panache
With a bit of the two states cliché to it, the mehendi ceremony saw the groom’s family being greeted in style with a Punjabi flavour to the entire theme.
Akriti went muted on the jewellery, which she borrowed from her mother. She fondly recalls, “I wanted something of hers to wear at the beginning of some of the biggest days of my life.”
Adorned in heavy polki jhumkis with pearl saharas to link the earrings with the hair, the custom Anushree Reddy lehenga was only taken a notch higher. Keeping it bare for the earrings to stand out, the look was mehendi-perfect.
Classy Cocktail and Engagement
An indo-western cape gown by none other than Sabyasachi was teamed with an extremely heavy pair of jhumki earrings chained to the hair. Beautiful polki work with rubies and tiny pearls ensured the gold pair by itself was just perfect for the occasion
The Just-Wow Wedding
Breath-taking & beautiful, this princess bride definitely slayed it on D-day.
The polki and gold treasured pieces were a lovely choice made by the bride and her parents. Traditionally adorned in a mathapatti, choker, a long haar and a nath, the bold bride was demure and graceful in her gorgeous ensemble.
Lotus motifs to match with the dress and tinkling pearls along with the splendid payal made the bling thing stand out exquisitely. With a bit of customisation to make the earrings heavy, the happy bride found all her wedding jewellery at Le Khanna Jewellers just the way she wanted as though designed with her in mind.
Completely in contrast to the other functions, the reception at Ahmedabad was a classy one with bold tones and gold jewels.
Custom-designed jewellery gifted by the groom’s family gave a beautiful effect to the Anita Dongre outfit. The textured piece with uncut diamonds on the sides made the necklace and matching earrings a stunning reception choice.
Sweeping through unique and lovely looks with each function, taking it a notch higher, the jewellery goals here were awesome. Which ones did you like the best?
