Planned to perfection, bride Ritika adorns magnificent jewels

For every bride, there is something she is looking for – sparkling jaw-dropping jewellery to add that glam factor to the dream outfit. For Ritika Talwar from Chandigarh, married to Karm Singh in Patiala, her jewellery was ready in design from very early on by her father and jeweller, Rakesh Talwar from Talwar Jewellers!

The bride fondly recalls how her three looks, planned by her for the weekend wedding were so different in style, as she balanced it well with the jewellery. Going from gold and polki for the engagement, she chose diamonds for the other two. Since it was a Sikh wedding, she did not prefer traditional gold jewellery.

Wearing a beautiful choker necklace and a rani haar clubbed together, Ritika opted for smaller earrings so her engagement look was not over-the-top. Completing the ensemble was a mang tika and her mother’s hand-me-down pichla bangles (from Rajasthan) to match the gold and polki design of the set. The traditional look was perfect as it was a mehendi cum engagement function with the lovely dress teaming well with the polki diamonds.

Our modern bride was again very specific about the look, which was in complete contrast to the previous one. The dazzling diamond necklace and earrings set matched the white and silver of the outfit. Though simple, it was extremely elegant, with the teardrops of the earring arranged magnificently with delicate finesse. The look sure is a lovely inspiration with its twist of subtle palette!

Anand Karaj/Wedding

As it was a day wedding at the Gurudwara, she went for a blush pink outfit adorned strikingly with the brilliant necklace and matching earrings. Rubies lined the necklace to complement the embellished dress with easy appeal. The delicate nath and the mang tika while enhancing the look, again ensured to look dainty and perfect for the day event.

We here at TJD loved the inspirational styling done by the bride herself going from traditional to contemporary ethnic with her striking choice of palette teamed with trending polki and diamonds. The jewellery stole our breathe away with its elegance…and who says you have to overdo it at your wedding!
